Job summary

Job description

Enterprise Analytics Delivery Lead

The Enterprise Analytics Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of high value data and AI solutions to one or more areas of the business. The role oversees end-to-end implementation or enhancement of data‑driven and AI solutions, including reports, dashboards, analytics, and extracts, in support of strategic achievement, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Serves as the delivery lead for various data and AI initiatives through all phases of implementation (planning, requirements, design, build, test, deploy), including supporting business case creation, prototyping and solution design, functional requirements, daily stand‑ups, user acceptance testing, end‑user identification, business readiness, data governance, and stakeholder communications (20%).
  2. Establishes and maintains a subject‑matter‑expert level of understanding for data and AI solutions used by assigned business areas, covering solution role, operations, key fields, terminology, data quality needs, governance expectations, and source/destination systems (20%).
  3. Contributes to the enterprise data analytics strategy to support company objectives, participates in industry associations, and performs research to recommend strategy changes, new solutions, tools, processes, and methods (10%).
  4. Builds relationships with business and data leaders to understand strategic plans, roadmaps, and goals, and provides transparency into analytics strategy, roadmap, priorities, and processes (10%).
  5. Collaborates with business and data partners to understand challenges and leverage innovative thinking to explore where data products and AI can provide solutions (10%).
  6. Monitors and tracks usage, adoption, and value achievement of data solutions for assigned business areas (10%).
  7. Maintains a backlog of potential improvements to data and AI solutions and helps prioritize associated changes to drive maximum value for the business (10%).
  8. Supports other department activities as needed (storm and emergency management, procurement, etc.) (10%).
Supervision

Direct Supervision: Functional members of analytics delivery teams including SCRUM Masters and Data Analysts.

Indirect Supervision: Technical members of analytics delivery teams, including Data Engineers and Testers.

Relationships

Key Internal: Business, Data, and IT leaders across TECO and Emera affiliates.

Key External: Contractors, vendors, industry associations.

Qualifications
Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred: Master’s degree with a concentration in a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Licenses/Certifications

Preferred: Credentials demonstrating breadth of knowledge over data science, AI/ML, information management, or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).

Experience

Required: 6 years of related work experience in business relationship management, program management, and/or data product lifecycle management.

Preferred: Work experience in a regulated industry (e.g., electric/gas utility).

Supervisory Experience

Preferred: 3 years of experience leading project teams.

Required

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud environment, Snowflake database, MS PowerBI, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, Atlan data glossary.
  • Advanced use of MS Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Knowledge of user story mapping.

Working Conditions

Storm Duty Requirements

Team members are required to participate in response and recovery activities related to emergencies and disasters to maintain service to TECO Energy customers. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with company rules and procedures.
