Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Business Analyst who translates business needs into technical specifications for enterprise applications and analytics across resort, human resources, and finance systems.

You will interface with owners, operators, and leadership, gather requirements, develop dashboards, provide forecasts, and support QA and production deployment while ensuring clear documentation and training for end users.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
Casino gaming & hospitality background or experience preferred

Responsibilities

Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and process descriptions.
Acquire and index data, build dashboards, deliver real-time analytics and forecasts.
Provide financial and productivity analytics and budgets, and create automated forecasts.
Document processes, procedures, agendas and minutes for the Operations Development team.
Evaluate information from multiple sources, decompose details, and identify true needs.
Collaborate with technical teams and business owners to deliver effective solutions.
Translate enterprise-wide requirements into technical specifications.
Develop user documentation and conduct training as required.
Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive ownership.
Assist with QA and release management of applications through testing and UAT.
Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
Travel as needed for business requirements
