Job summary

Accela is seeking a Head of AI Strategy & Operations to shape the enterprise AI program, set practical standards, and guide investments that improve how people work while delivering measurable results. You will partner with Product, IT, Security, Legal, HR, and Finance to align requirements with business goals and drive responsible AI adoption across all functions.

You will lead governance, portfolio visibility, and employee adoption initiatives, building strong collaborations with executives

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI/tech strategy with leadership of multi-team initiatives.
• Experience establishing enterprise AI governance, standards, and adoption programs.
• Experience with LLMs, retrieval, agents, workflow automation, and AI evaluation.
• Ability to prioritize opportunities, turn unclear problems into actionable requirements, and deliver measurable results.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Credentials such as IAPP AIGP, ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer, ISACA AAISM, CRISC, or CGEIT.

Responsibilities

• Shape Accela's enterprise AI strategy and priorities.
• Establish AI governance, review processes, and approval criteria.
• Translate legal and policy obligations into security and data-use requirements.
• Maintain portfolio visibility of AI initiatives and tools.
• Lead collaboration across business and technical teams.
• Support employee adoption and AI champions.
• Define ownership and decisions across experiments to deployment.
• Measure results with executive scorecards.
