Job summary

Accela is seeking a Head of AI Strategy & Operations to shape our enterprise AI strategy, set practical standards, and guide investments that improve how people work and deliver measurable results.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, IT, Security, Legal, Privacy, GRC, HR, Finance, Procurement, and other leaders to align enterprise requirements with operational needs, drive responsible AI adoption, and maintain portfolio visibility across the company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AI strategy or technology strategy leadership.
• Experience establishing enterprise AI governance and standards.
• Hands-on with large language models, retrieval, agents, automation.
• Ability to translate problems into actionable requirements and measurable results.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Credentials such as IAPP AIGP, ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer, ISACA AAISM, CGEIT, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Shape enterprise AI strategy and investment priorities.
• Identify promising AI uses and define funding decisions.
• Lead AI governance with clear risk categories and approvals.
• Translate legal and policy obligations into security and data-use requirements.
• Maintain portfolio visibility of AI initiatives and owners.
• Lead executive reviews with clear recommendations and follow-through.
