Job summary

Vizient, based in Chicago, seeks an enterprise AI and automation strategist to advise executives on market trends, tool evaluations, and investment decisions. You will partner with business, product, and governance leaders to ensure the AI program remains forward looking and compliant.

You will build competitive intelligence, conduct horizon scanning, and present concise recommendations to guide strategy, pilots, and portfolio planning.

Qualifications

• Experience translating findings into strategic, decision-ready recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Ability to assess technology opportunities, risks and value in an enterprise context.
• Understanding of AI governance principles and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous horizon scanning across AI and automation landscape.
• Analyze market intelligence to inform AI strategy, tool evaluations and roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities against enterprise needs and governance requirements.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations on technology adoption, pilots and investments.
• Own and maintain enterprise AI competitive intelligence function.
• Partner with business and product leaders to balance current delivery with future capability.
• Support portfolio planning through value assessments and risk analysis.
• Communicate emerging technology risks and market trends to governance stakeholders.
• Create executive presentations and briefings on AI and digital transformation opportunities.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders on AI strategy and opportunities.
• Build awareness and confidence in enterprise AI strategy through thought leadership.
