Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an AI Solution Architect to design and govern enterprise AI solutions across generative AI, agentic AI, ML, and RAG. You will collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable AI platforms aligned with policy and governance.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, security, and cross-team collaboration, with a hiring salary range listed and a hybrid/onsite work model in the Milwaukee area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 8+ years in solution architecture, software engineering, cloud architecture or enterprise tech roles.
• Proven experience delivering production Azure solutions in complex enterprises.
• Hands-on with generative AI, LLMs, RAG, conversational AI, document intelligence or agent-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design for enterprise AI initiatives across domains.
• Translate business needs into end-to-end solution architectures and roadmaps.
• Define reusable reference architectures and integration patterns.
• Partner with engineering on APIs, data flows and production readiness.
• Ensure security, privacy, and Responsible AI requirements from the outset.
