Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and AI, is seeking a Manager of AI & ML Platform Engineering. You will guide enterprise AI platforms, enabling model training, LLM inference, RAG architectures, and AI agent adoption across the organization.

You will lead ML Platform Engineers and cloud specialists, driving automation, delivery excellence, and governance. Collaboration with security, architecture, and data teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (CS/Engineering/Data Science).
• 10+ years of experience in software/ cloud engineering or AI/ML tech.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience delivering Azure-based cloud & AI platform solutions.
• Experience operating large-scale platforms for AI/data products.

Responsibilities

• Define & execute the enterprise AI Platform roadmap aligned to business objectives.
• Establish standards, architectures, patterns, and operating procedures for AI/ML workloads.
• Drive adoption of AI platform capabilities across product teams and data science units.
• Own platform KPIs including reliability, security, adoption, developer productivity, cost efficiency.
• Lead design and operation of enterprise AI platforms on Azure (AKS, App Services, etc.).
• Oversee scalable environments for model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and inference.
