Job summary

WRITER seeks an AI research scientist to advance its enterprise-scale LLMs, focusing on post-training, agentic reasoning, and system-level capabilities. You will own high-impact research, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and ship findings into scalable products used across industries.

You will lead experiments, develop data synthesis pipelines, and publish at top venues, while mentoring peers and driving a rigorous research culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on ML research experience in large language models and enterprise-scale systems.
• PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated research output.
• Expertise with post-training methods (SFT, RLHF, RLAIF, DPO) and alignment techniques.
• Strong Python and PyTorch; ability to build and scale training pipelines and data synthesis.
• Strong publication record at top ML/AI venues and independent research agenda.
• Experience designing or evaluating agentic systems with multi-step reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent, high-impact research on LLMs and agentic systems end-to-end.
• Design large-scale post-training experiments and optimize multi-step reasoning.
• Create evaluation benchmarks and rigorous measurement for enterprise tasks.
• Develop scalable data synthesis and training data pipelines.
• Shape model architecture and training roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Publish and present at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, etc.; represent WRITER.
• Mentor fellow researchers and engineers, upholding scientific rigor and culture.
