Job summary

VizyPay LLC in Waukee, IA is seeking an AI Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and governance of enterprise AI solutions within VEXIS—the company’s CRM platform—and across business systems.

You will define enterprise AI strategy, build a scalable AI platform, and ensure governance, security, and cost-effectiveness in production environments. This is an in-office role in Waukee, IA, reporting to the CIO and collaborating with multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering; 3+ years building/operating production ML/AI systems at enterprise scale.
• Experience in security/compliance environments (PCI DSS, SOC 2, etc.).
• Experience establishing an AI function/platform from the ground up (0→1).
• Strong SQL and production relational databases with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, API design, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise AI strategy and multi-year roadmap with CIO and leaders; partner with business units to identify AI use cases.
• Define KPIs for AI initiatives; measure ROI, adoption, and operational impact; forecast AI platform spend.
• Own build-vs-buy evaluations of AI platforms and models against cost, security, latency, scalability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Product and security teams to align AI initiatives with platform architecture and roadmaps.
• Establish AI engineering standards; mentor engineers; lead architecture reviews; enable AI training.
• Monitor AI regulation and governance and adapt policies accordingly.
