Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal AI Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale next-generation infrastructure for AI workloads. The role focuses on on-premise private cloud, spanning compute, storage, networking, and accelerators, with a builder mindset to power advanced AI capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI infrastructure at scale.
• Experience with on-prem private cloud environments.
• Strong vendor evaluation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to architect scalable AI platforms for training and inference.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI infrastructure roadmap for Mastercard's on-premise private cloud, aligning with enterprise AI priorities.
• Act as product owner for AI infrastructure, translating business and data science needs into scalable platform capabilities.
• Lead RFI and RFP processes for AI infrastructure components (CPU, GPU, storage, networking).
• Architect and scale infrastructure to train large-scale predictive and generative models on petabytes of data with low-latency inference across global workloads.
