Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager of AI Engineering to lead the design, development, and operations of enterprise-scale AI platforms. You will guide teams across cloud-native architectures, GenAI, and RAG, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant AI delivery.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, partnering with business and technology leaders to translate opportunities into measurable outcomes. This is a full-time, enterprise role at CVS Health.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, ML, or AI engineering experience.
2+ years in engineering leadership roles (engineering manager, principal engineer, etc.).
Proven cloud-native experience on AWS and/or GCP.
Experience delivering production AI solutions incl. Generative AI and RAG.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing AI/engineering team.
Define technical vision, standards, and architectural roadmap for enterprise AI platforms.
Lead design reviews and key engineering decisions for AI initiatives.
Coach engineers in system design, best practices, and operational excellence.
Partner with executives to align AI investments with business goals.
