Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking an AI Developer to join its AI Center of Excellence in Atlanta, GA. You will build enterprise AI solutions, from apps to platform capabilities, and deliver them with quality and velocity across merchandising, supply chain, finance, stores, and digital teams.

You’ll prototype prioritized use cases, ship production-ready components, and document reusable patterns for the broader CoE. Two positions are open, with a focus on secure, scalable implementations that align to

Qualifications

• Software development with 1–3 years of experience in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Hands-on LLM application development with APIs prompting, function/tool calling.
• REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and reading external docs.
• Working SQL and data fluency to wrangle AI inputs.
• Git, code reviews, CI/CD and maintainable code practices.
• Strong communication with non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship enterprise AI solutions, apps, and integrations.
• Prototype use cases and convert pilots into production-ready components.
• Develop agent workflows and Claude/LLM-based tools across systems like Tableau, Redshift, Jira, Outlook.
• Document components and hand over reusable patterns to the platform library.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security, and enterprise policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and AI champions to validate requirements.
