Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Principal Practice Architect, AI to set enterprise AI standards, reference architectures, guardrails, and technology selections. The role defines agent frameworks, model gateways, evaluation approaches and guides portfolio solutions while collaborating with senior IT, data, security and risk leaders.

This is a remote position. The role requires extensive experience in technology, AI systems, and platform governance with a focus on advisory-to-peer influence,

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or 18 years of tech delivery experience in lieu of a degree.
• 15+ years in technology including 5+ years hands-on software/ML engineering and 8+ years in architecture/leadership.
• Production experience designing and governing enterprise-scale AI systems (LLM apps, agent frameworks, orchestration, retrieval/grounding, evaluation harnesses, guardrails).
• 3+ years setting enterprise technology standards and making platform decisions across multiple units.
• Hands-on use of AI code assist and agentic development tooling; evaluate AI platforms directly.

Mansioni

• Define the enterprise AI strategy and own standards, reference architectures and guardrails for AI workloads.
• Own AI technology and platform selection across the enterprise in collaboration with other architects.
• Own security and Responsible AI guardrails with Security, Legal and Risk.
• Define the AI platform strategy and roadmap including build vs. buy, consolidation, and sunset planning.
• Review AI-enabled solution designs for conformance to standards without overriding architects.
• Keep the AI Center of Excellence aligned to enterprise standards and guide initiatives.
• Define governance and operating model for AI use cases and governance across portfolios.
• Lead AI technology radar and publish best practices for AI tooling and patterns.
