Job summary

NGL Shared Services in Tulsa seeks an AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of the company’s AI capabilities. You will translate business priorities into secure, practical AI solutions and establish enterprise AI architecture under the VP of Applications.

The role blends hands-on delivery with strategic planning, partnering with IT, Legal, Accounting, and Finance to define AI strategies, safeguard information, and ensure governance while achieving measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Data Science preferred or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years of progressive experience in technology architecture, software development, data platforms, or related disciplines with AI/ML delivery.
• Proven experience developing AI strategies and roadmaps and implementing them.
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, large language models, agentic AI, and enterprise integration.
• Experience with AI governance, security frameworks, model risk management, and SDLC for secure AI development.
• Hands-on programming with Python or similar language, SQL, and modern development practices.
• Experience with Azure, AI ecosystems, and AI API integrations.
• Ability to lead strategically while delivering hands-on solution design and delivery.
• Strong communication, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise AI strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Identify AI opportunities across departments and build business cases with measurable outcomes.
• Advise IT leadership on AI capabilities, investments, and adoption progress.
• Define architecture and standards for generative AI, ML, and intelligent automation.
• Design AI solutions that integrate with enterprise apps, data platforms, and systems.
• Establish governance, controls, and production practices for AI models and prompts.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams and partners through technical direction.
• Develop employee guidance and training for responsible AI use.
• Communicate technical concepts and business value to non-technical audiences.
• Develop scorecards to measure AI adoption success.
