Job description

Enterprise Account Executive (Sydney based)

Sumo Logic addresses both security and observability use cases on a world-class logging and analytics platform. With a newly installed executive sales and operations team, we are seeking innovative thinkers, doers, and challengers to join us. This role requires a seasoned, strategic Account Manager in our enterprise sales segment, responsible for driving growth within a subset of our largest, new, and existing customers. You will be the face of the company, owning customer relationships and ensuring their success.

Responsibilities
  1. Target, manage, and sell to new and existing customers, exceeding revenue quota goals.
  2. Address each customer and partner's unique needs, providing relevant information and solutions.
  3. Collaborate with your dedicated Pre-Sales Engineer to deliver compelling demos, discovery sessions, and technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  4. Work with your SDR to create outreach campaigns and generate sales pipeline.
  5. Qualify and manage inbound leads through the sales funnel.
  6. Close deals and manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle alongside Pre-Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, and Marketing teams.
  7. Engage with Channel Partners and Alliances to extend market reach.
  8. Collaborate with the Customer Success Team for client reviews.
  9. Create and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  10. Provide timely feedback to other corporate functions, especially product management and marketing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 7+ years of IT sales experience and 5+ years of consistent quota achievement selling software to enterprise-level customers.
  • Experience selling on-demand/SaaS Security or IT Infrastructure Management solutions to technical and business audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for executives and economic buyers.
  • Strong sales methodology knowledge, such as MEDDPICC, is highly desirable.
  • High activity levels and a fast-paced, high-growth environment adaptability.
  • Team player and lifelong learner, curious about the 'why'.
