Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Otolaryngology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to manage inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, and operating room time. The role requires 2–3 years of PA/APN experience in a surgical, critical care or ED setting, with RNFA for NP candidates and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with standard office software and EHRs.
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to state law; ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform age-appropriate history and physicals and document findings.
• Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostics with physicians.
• Prescribe medications safely and educate patients.
• Collaborate to promote PA/APN recognition and participate in rounds and meetings.
• Contribute to patient education and care planning; ensure culturally sensitive care.
