Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ENT providers at Lake Cumberland Physician Practices. The MA will perform patient assessments, collect specimens, document care, and help with daily clinic operations to ensure patient safety and a smooth revenue cycle.

Schedule: 5x8, Days (8a-5p). Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under physician or nurse supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care given.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and exam areas; perform clerical duties as assigned.
