Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the ENT Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Minnesota. The LPN provides nursing care under RN supervision, participates in patient assessment, and helps implement the care plan according to hospital policies.

Eligible candidates must hold an LPN license, with BLS, and show excellent communication and teamwork skills. ENT, tracheostomy, and pediatrics experience are helpful; full-time schedule with 72 hours per pay period is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards.
• If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience in an applicable setting.
• Additional qualifications: ENT, Tracheostomy and Peds experience helpful; one year LPN experience in last five years preferred.
• Current LPN license by applicable state requirements; BLS valid for 90 days post start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under supervision of RN or supervisor.
• Communicate observations to assist RN/provider in patient assessment and care planning.
• Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan and organizational policies.
