Chestnut Hill College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Music starting in the Spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for directing an undergraduate instrumental ensemble, with additional teaching assignments possible based on departmental needs.

The Music Adjunct will provide student-centered instruction that fosters musical proficiency, artistic growth, and academic development while supporting the college’s mission.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Music or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience directing instrumental ensembles.
• Ability to deliver engaging instruction to students with varying levels of musical experience.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and College community.
• Commitment to the College's Mission and Core Values, including inclusive education.

Aufgaben

• Direct and provide instruction for an undergraduate instrumental ensemble.
• Develop and implement instructional materials, rehearsal plans, and activities.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Recruit student musicians for ensemble participation.
• Collaborate with Music Program faculty and other College units.
• Participate in meetings and activities related to ensemble instruction and performance.
• Perform other duties consistent with the adjunct assignment as appropriate.
