Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least two years of financial aid experience. Associate's degree with financial aid/financial analyst background may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills are imperative.
• Ability to interpret and apply policy in daily work is essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and projects, as well as the ability to work independently and with a diverse team of faculty and staff is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and the ability to quickly learn new software is essential.
• Two years of experience working in finance, financial aid or student services is required; experience gained while pursuing a degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the awarding and management of School of Nursing scholarships following, institutional, state, and federal requirements.
• Work with School of Nursing faculty to manage Graduate Assistant hiring and payment.
• Communicate financial aid information to prospective and current students through email, phone, and in-person and virtual presentations.
• Maintain reports to meet compliance for grants and funding sources for recruitment, enrollment, student scholarships, and financial aid.
• Advise students, faculty, and staff on financial aid and scholarship policies.
• Collaborate with Development and Alumni office and school finance personnel to appropriately steward all awards.
• Connect students with appropriate financial aid and finance related resources.
• Conducting applicant file reviews in order to assess prerequisite compliance.
• Scheduling recruitment events.
