Job summary

Fay is seeking a Credentialing Manager to join our provider operations team in New York. The role focuses on leading contractors and vendors, executing credentialing and enrollment work across a portfolio of payers with accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll report to the Head of Provider Operations and the engagement starts as a contract with strong potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business need.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with provider credentialing and enrollment (CAQH, payer portals, license verification, submissions and tracking).
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills with formulas, filters and pivot tables.
• Owner mindset: proactive problem-solving, SOP improvement, and independent resolution.
• High accuracy and thoroughness in credentialing processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute enrollment and credentialing across payers (CAQH ProView, license verification, portal submissions, follow-up).
• Track status and turnaround times; flag delays before bottlenecks form.
• Maintain clean tracking in spreadsheets/dashboards with SLA and denial/resubmission logs.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive resolution rather than flagging them.
• Leverage AI tools to speed up repetitive tasks when beneficial.
• Collaborate with Credentialing and RCM teams to ensure seamless downstream billing and go-live.
