Job summary

Empire State University is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the Office of Enrollment Management. This role guides prospective and enrolled students through the admissions process, leveraging CRM tools and university resources to support enrollment goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with CRM systems; this position offers remote and flexible work options across NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US university or comparable non-US university.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in higher education, admissions, enrollment management, or related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide admissions counseling and enrollment support for prospective, applicants, and admitted students.
• Guide on admissions requirements, applications, orientation, and first enrollment advisement.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and CRM channels with timely information.
• Conduct proactive outreach to applicants and admitted students to promote enrollment progress.
• Monitor applicant progress, identify barriers, and connect students with university resources.
• Develop expertise in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and its programs.
