JOB TITLE: Enrollment Counselor – Recruitment & Outreach

LEVEL: 201 FLSA: Exempt DEPARTMENT: Enrollment Services

East Central College has an openingfora full time Enrollment Counselor – Recruitment & Outreach. This position supports student recruitment and enrollment growth through strategic outreach and relationship building. Represents East Central College at recruitment events and guides prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. Uses targeted communication, CRM technology, and data-driven strategies to achieve enrollment goals and support student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

(A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)

• Bachelor’s required from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. Previous experience tracking metrics and working with KPIs. Demonstrated value of teamwork and collaboration. Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Essential Tasks:

(Employee must be able to perform the following essential functions to the satisfaction of the employee’s supervisor.)

• Recruit prospective students in assigned schools, territories, and target populations to meet enrollment goals.
• Build relationships with high school staff, community partners, students, and families.
• Represent ECC at high school visits, college fairs, community events, and recruitment activities.
• Present information on academic programs, career pathways, transfer options, financial aid, scholarships, and student life.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment targets.
• Manage an assigned territory and maintain a consistent presence in schools and communities.
• Analyze enrollment trends and demographic data to guide recruitment planning.
• Build and manage a student recruitment pipeline from inquiry through enrollment.
• Conduct personalized outreach via phone, email, text, appointments, and CRM campaigns.
• Identify and re-engage students who have stalled in the enrollment process.
• Guide students through admissions, registration, and enrollment requirements.
• Use CRM and student information systems to track interactions, activities, and student progress.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and adjust strategies to improve conversion and enrollment outcomes.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on recruitment campaigns and promotional content.
• Plan and execute campus visits, tours, open houses, information sessions, and recruitment events.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with students and families to discuss educational and career goals.
• Partner with internal departments to provide accurate information and a seamless enrollment experience.
• Support onboarding efforts, including orientation, registration events, and new student transition activities.
• Perform assigned responsibilities, and other related duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

Salary range:

$45,100.48 - $62,285.65. While the full salary range is provided for growth potential, most new hires are initially placed within the lower portion of the range based on experience and institutional compensation guidelines. Position is level 201.
