Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges System is seeking an Enrollment Services Coordinator in New Orleans, LA. You will counsel prospective students, support enrollment, manage data, and assist with events and workshops to streamline admissions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Higher Education Administration (or an Associate's with 8 years HE experience), strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Some after-hours work is expected.

  • Minimum 1-year experience in student services, enrollment management, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and admissions requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Enrollment Counseling: assist prospective students in understanding programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options.
  • Enrollment Support: collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and student finance teams to streamline application processes and track statuses.
  • Data Management: maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality, and report student progress.
  • Other Duties: perform additional duties as assigned and participate in training; some after-hours and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • 40% - Enrollment Counseling:
    • Assist prospective students and applicants in understanding academic programs (Career Exploration), admission requirements, and financial aid options.
    • Provide one-on-one guidance to help students navigate the enrollment process and address any concerns or challenges.
    • Host enrollment and recruitment-related workshops for prospects and applicants
  • 40% - Enrollment Support:
    • Collaborate with the admissions, financial aid, and student finance teams to streamline application processes and ensure the accuracy of submitted documents. The goal is to have the student complete all related enrollment processes (apply, register, and pay for classes).
    • Track and follow up on application statuses, providing timely updates to students.
  • 15% - Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Report and monitor student progress through the enrollment process
    • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in the enrollment process.
    • Provide event support to any enrollment or recruitment-related events on and off campus.
  • 5% Other Duties:
    • Perform any other duties the supervisor assigns to ensure the smooth operation of the team and organization.
    • Participate in continuous professional development and job-related training.
    • Some after-hour and weekend work is expected.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field an Associate's Degree with 8 years of Higher Education Experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a service environment that is subject to frequent interruptions and skill in setting priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.

Ability to effectively, professionally, and tactfully interact and communicate, both orally and in writing, with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office or equivalent software, the internet, email messaging, and web-based applications. Advanced computer knowledge with the ability to understand and learn new online programs. Comfortable using collaboration and communication tools.

Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
  • 3-5 years of Student Affairs experience
  • Possess Customer Service experience
