Job summary

Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School in Boston is seeking a Manager of Marketing and Communications to drive enrollment marketing, manage external communications, and strengthen APR as a destination employer for mission-driven educators and staff.

The role reports to the Executive Director and requires a strategic thinker with marketing expertise, strong writing, and project management skills to advance APR's mission and community.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience, nonprofit or education a plus.
• Proven ability to run multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing vendors, agencies, and external partners.
• Familiarity with paid media and digital advertising platforms.
• Experience managing social media, including LinkedIn.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build an annual enrollment marketing campaign plan to raise awareness among Boston families.
• Define target audiences, neighborhoods, channels, timing, and investment strategy.
• Translate APR's programs and opportunities into clear messages for families.
• Lead development of campaign messaging, copy, visual identity, and assets.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding across advertising, digital, print, and outreach.
• Manage enrollment marketing calendar from planning through launch and execution.
• Coordinate with APR teams to gather content, materials and approvals for campaigns.
• Support families through the enrollment funnel (awareness to application to enrollment).
• Partner with the Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement on family outreach, tours, and onboarding.
