Job description

Manager of Marketing and Communications
Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School
About APR

Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School (APR) is a tuition-free, public charter school offering a rigorous, college preparatory program in Grades 5-12 to 540 students from Boston. For 25 years, APR has empowered diverse learners (90% students of color; 11% English Learners; 25% on IEPs) of all racial and ethnic backgrounds to achieve their full intellectual and social potential through high-quality academic and enrichment programs to promote college and career exploration, cultural immersion, and community service.

Our supportive and inclusive community actively counters patterns of inequity through dynamic learning partnerships between staff, students, and families. This work is grounded in the vision that all students graduate with a focused mind and a big heart. Our 570+ alumni have a six-year college graduation rate of 70% — double the national average of their demographic peers.

About the Position

The Manager of Marketing and Communications is a full-time role responsible for driving APR's enrollment marketing strategy, managing the school's external communications and brand presence, and supporting APR's talent marketing efforts. • Manage the enrollment marketing calendar from planning through launch and ongoing execution.
  • Coordinate with APR teams to gather content, materials, and approvals needed to execute marketing campaigns.
  • Support in moving families through enrollment funnel from awareness of APR, to application, accepting an offer, completing registration, and ultimately enrolling at the school. This could include, but is not limited to, supporting Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement with family outreach and tours, and student onboarding.
  • Partner with the Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement to support families from initial awareness of APR through application, offer acceptance, registration, and enrollment, including family outreach, tours, and new student onboarding.
Talent Marketing
  • Support the development of APR's employer brand, ensuring external communications reflect APR as a destination employer for mission-driven educators and staff.
  • Collaborate with the CHCO to develop recruitment marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Manage APR's presence across job boards and recruitment platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, EdJobs, and others, ensuring postings are current, compelling, and consistent with APR's employer brand.
  • Ensure the careers page and social media consistently reflect APR's culture, values, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Participate in phone screens and interviews as a culture and brand ambassador.
