Job summary

Mohawk Valley Community College is seeking an Admissions Specialist in the Admissions department. You will work with the Director of Admissions to implement recruitment plans aligned with the College's strategic initiatives, and will recruit students by partnering with high schools, adult learners, and local organizations across NYS.

The role requires representing MVCC at events, advising on educational programs, processing applications, and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in admissions, recruitment, counseling or related field.
• Valid New York State driver license at appointment and for duration of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Represents the College at recruiting events.
• Coordinates, plans, assists, and participates in recruitment activities.
• Provides information to prospective students on educational programs and career pathways.
• Reviews records, applications, and interviews prospective students to make admission recommendations.
• Travels as required.
• Works with admissions staff to support recruitment priorities and assist applicants.
