Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–5 years proven customer service and/or sales experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent highly preferred
• Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with high ethical standards and compliance
• Energy and determination to provide valuable services to prospects and newly enrolling students
• Willing to travel 10% of time
• Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
• Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when needed
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Strong mental acuity and ability to cope with stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of student recruitment in a fast-paced environment
• Respond to prospective student inquiries and make outbound calls
• Set phone interview appointments
• Interview prospective students about their educational background, goals and objectives
• Educate prospective students about Strayer University programs, locations, course offerings and financial options
• Recommend appropriate courses of study
• Assist with applications and review admission qualifications
• Enroll new students and verify basis of admission, prerequisites and transcripts
• Complete admissions files and assist with initial registration
• Partner with Student Services, Academics and the University Registrar’s Office to finalize enrollment
• Follow University policies, procedures and applicable recruitment rules
