Job summary

Brothers of Mercy in Western New York is seeking an Enrichment Aide to provide 1:1 interactions with residents and to lead activity programs on assigned units. This part-time day shift role offers rewarding work in a premier skilled nursing facility, with opportunities to engage residents in crafts, music, exercise and social activities.

You will assist with meal trays, transport residents to activities, supervise wandering residents during programs, and help decorate units for holidays,

Qualifications

• Assists in organizing and conducting activities that may include crafts, music programs, exercise groups, sensory activities, daily life skills, videos / movies, social activities, and diversional activities based on the resident’s/patient’s needs and capabilities.
• Assists in the organization of the area where activities are conducted to insure efficient, safe and pleasant conditions for the residents.
• Assists with: transporting and seating of residents/patients for activities.
• Decorates assigned unit(s) for holidays and special occasions.
• Supervises residents/patients that wander away during programs or activities.
• Assists in passing trays for meals.
• Assists with transporting residents/patients to and from meals.
