Job summary

Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus in Clarence, NY is seeking an Activities Aide for the PT Evening Shift to create engaging programs for residents. You’ll lead crafts, music, exercise, and social activities, while supporting 1:1 interactions and group events to enhance daily living experiences.

The role focuses on organizing activities, assisting with meals and transportation, and ensuring safe, welcoming environments for seniors. Evening availability is required.

• Experience in recreation, activities, or direct care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct activities including crafts, music programs, exercise groups, sensory activities, videos/movies, social activities, and daily life skill programs tailored to residents’ abilities
• Assist with 1:1 interactions and group activities on assigned units
• Set up, maintain, and decorate activity areas to ensure a safe, efficient, and pleasant environment
• Transport and seat residents for activities, meals, or special events
• Monitor residents during programs, including those who may wander away
• Assist with meal tray service and transportation to and from meals
