Job summary

Senior Living Residences is seeking an EnrichedLIFE Director for Concord Park in Concord, MA. This role leads therapeutic programming, focusing on residents' emotions, strengths, and abilities to enhance quality of life.

You will map out and schedule activities, coordinates external trips, and arrange guest lecturers, while guiding a compassionate team in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of senior healthcare experience.
• Professional licensure in related healthcare field preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and dementia care.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and CDP support group eligibility or credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and oversee programs tailored to resident interests.
• Coordinate entertainment, guest lecturers, and community outings.
• Lead and support a dynamic programming team and leadership duties.
• Manage department budget and reporting responsibilities.
• Serve as Manager on Duty, including rotating weekends and shifts.

SCHEDULE

Full Time: 40 hours per week; Monday-Friday

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The EnrichedLIFE Director at Concord Park in Concord, MA, is a key member of the community's leadership team and reports to the Executive Director. This person is responsible for creating and implementing meaningful, therapeutic programming and an innovative whole-person approach that focuses on a resident’s emotions, strengths, and remaining abilities- not on their disabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to map out a range of programs and activities for seniors, including coordinating external trips and scheduling entertainers or guest lecturers at the community.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Develop, schedule, organize, oversee and implement all programs for residents, customized to the resident population’s interests.
• Coordinate entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
• Plan regularly scheduled outings for residents; drive the van to take residents on outings including shopping trips, museum visits, and local community events.
• Develop monthly newsletter, take photos, and update social media channels.
• Manage the department budget
• Serve as Manager on Duty, including rotating weekends

• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease, related dementias, and behavior management techniques, and a sincere desire to work with cognitively impaired residents
• Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Certified Alzheimer's Association support group
