Job summary

Pine Hall in Detroit seeks a personable Host to welcome guests and coordinate seating with warmth and hospitality. You will be the first impression for every guest, providing friendly service and supporting the dining room team to ensure smooth service.

Ideal candidates bring guest-facing experience, flexibility for lunch shifts, and the stamina to stand and assist throughout shifts, with fluency in English and a willingness to engage with guests in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a guest facing role in a restaurant preferred, but not necessary.
• Availability for lunch shifts.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• English fluency; additional languages preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests, in person or over the phone.
• Partner with Maître D to quote accurate wait times and assist guests.
• Answer guest inquiries about hours, operations, menus, and reservations.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of service area; assist with coat check as needed.
