Job summary

FAS Localize is seeking a skilled Vietnamese translator to post-edit machine-generated drafts across legal, medical, software and marketing content. You will ensure terminology consistency with client glossaries and style guides, and polish the language to read naturally in Vietnamese.

You will also translate from scratch when needed, flag ambiguities, and collaborate with the PM to tune engines. Remote work is fully supported with clear briefs and built-in QA checks.

Qualifications

• Native Vietnamese and strong written English (C1+).
• At least 2 years of professional translation or post-editing, or a degree in translation.
• Working knowledge of at least one CAT tool (Trados, memoQ, Phrase, Smartcat or similar).
• Firm grasp of Vietnamese spelling, punctuation and register.

Responsibilities

• Post-edit MT and LLM output to full human quality, following the client glossary and style guide.
• Translate from scratch when MT/LLM output is not suitable, and inform PM.
• Raise source ambiguities and terminology questions before guessing.
• Run QA checks in the tool and clear every error before delivery.

Turn AI and machine-translation drafts into Vietnamese that reads as if it had been written in Vietnamese, across legal, medical, software and marketing content.

Most of our English to Vietnamese volume now starts as an MT or LLM draft. Your job is the part the machine cannot do: judging what is wrong, fixing it properly and keeping the client's terminology and voice consistent from the first file to the last.

What you will do

• Post-edit MT and LLM output to full human quality, following the client glossary and style guide.
• Translate from scratch when a machine draft is not worth keeping, and tell the PM so we can tune the engine.
• Raise source ambiguities and terminology questions before you guess.
• Run the QA checks in the tool and clear every error before delivery.

What you bring

• Native Vietnamese, with strong written English (C1 or above).
• At least 2 years of professional translation or post-editing, or a degree in translation.
• Working knowledge of at least one CAT tool (Trados, memoQ, Phrase, Smartcat or similar).
• A firm grasp of Vietnamese spelling, punctuation and register.

Nice to have

• A specialization in legal, medical and life sciences, finance, or IT and software.
• Experience with both light and full post-editing guidelines.
