Job summary

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) seeks applicants for its English Teaching Faculty position. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty ranked position on the Glenns campus, with an excellent benefits package.

The hiring salary range will be $52,905 – $81,811, commensurate with education and experience. The primary duties include developing and maintaining quality English curriculum and teaching courses that support a diverse body of student acquisition of knowledge and skills in the English

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or 18 graduate hours in English plus 1 year post-secondary teaching experience
• Experience using video, audio, and interactive educational software
• Ability to define and assess student learning outcomes
• Familiarity with CANVAS or similar teaching platforms

Responsibilities

• Teach 15 credit hours per semester across day, evening, weekend, on/off-campus, and online/hybrid formats
• Provide academic advising with a minimum of 10 office hours per week
• Mentor adjunct and dual enrollment faculty and participate in college committees
• Develop and maintain quality English curriculum and assess courses
