Job summary

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) seeks applicants for an English Teaching Faculty position. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty ranked role on the Glenns campus, with an excellent benefits package. Salary range is $52,905–$81,811, commensurate with education and experience.

The position begins January 2, 2027. The primary duties include developing and maintaining quality English curriculum and teaching courses, 15 credit hours per semester, and providing academic advising with at least 10

Qualifications

Master’s degree in English or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English and one year of post-secondary teaching experience.
Experience using advanced instructional technology including video, audio, and interactive educational software.
Ability to define and assess student learning outcomes and create courses with knowledge of instructional platforms (CANVAS).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain quality English curriculum and teach courses across day, evening, weekend, on/off-campus, online, and hybrid modes.
Provide academic advising with a minimum of 10 office hours per week and participate in service on college committees.
Mentor adjunct and dual enrollment faculty and engage in community outreach and professional development.
