Job summary

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is seeking an English Teaching Faculty member for a full-time, 9-month appointment located at the Glenns campus. The role includes developing and maintaining quality English curricula and teaching high-quality courses to a diverse student body.

The position requires teaching 15 credit hours per semester, plus academic advising and service on college committees. The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in English (or equivalent), experience with

Qualifications

Masters degree in English or related field with teaching experience (post-secondary).
Experience using advanced instructional technology (video, audio, interactive software).
Knowledge of effective pedagogy and ability to assess student learning outcomes; familiarity with CANVAS.

Responsibilities

Teach 15 credit hours per semester, with potential day/evening/weekend classes on/off-campus and online/hybrid delivery.
Provide academic advising with a minimum of 10 office hours per week.
Mentor adjunct and dual enrollment faculty; participate in community outreach and college committees.
Maintain currency in field through professional development activities and teaching with modern technology.
Use state-of-the-art classroom teaching technologies and adapt schedules across multiple sites.
