Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is seeking an English Teacher for Irondale High School. This full-time position requires a Minnesota teaching license for grades 5-12 and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching and strong communication with students and families.

You will design and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to align curriculum and assessments. Start date ASAP with 186 duty days and steps/lanes pay as per the contract.

Qualifications

  • Current MN teaching license in English for grades 5-12, 7-12 or 9-12.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current MN teaching license in English for grades 5-12, 7-12 or 9-12 or Communication Arts & Literature for grades 5-12, 7-12 or 9-12.

  • Knowledge of instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, design of individual plans, and test design principles.

  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance, mental processes, psychological research methods, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Knowledge of numbers, their operations, and interrelationships including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with professional staff in an effort to determine and coordinate standardized curriculum and testing/ assessment designs.
