Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps supports Women of the World (WoW) in Salt Lake City through a year-long English Program Analyst VISTA role focused on research, curriculum development, and program improvement.

You will assess current pathways, design standardized progressions, and pilot a proficiency tool while collaborating with staff and volunteers to strengthen employment-focused English education for immigrant and refugee women.

Qualifications

• Assess the WoW English program through student focus groups, graduate interviews, staff surveys.
• Define a standardized progression pathway and create a program improvement plan.
• Revise WoW's proficiency assessment tool and document administration procedures.
• Develop a job-specific curriculum framework for accessible sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assess the WoW English program via student focus groups, graduate interviews, and staff surveys.
• Define a standardized progression pathway and create a program improvement plan.
• Revise WoW's proficiency assessment tool and pilot with a small student group.
• Research English language demands in housekeeping, kitchen, and custodial work.
• Recruit and orient an initial volunteer cohort for Year 2 deployment.
