Position Overview

We are looking for dynamic and committed course facilitators to support Sohaara’s English as a Second Language (ESL) learning program that is tailored specifically for professionals. As an English Expert, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional instruction, cultivating an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and helping professionals across the globe refine their English communication skills for career advancement.

We’ll trust you to:

1. Review and familiarize yourself with the curriculum, lesson plans, and materials designed for the program.
2. Lead engaging and interactive live sessions that incorporate diverse teaching methodologies, ensuring learners remain actively involved.
3. Create a welcoming, learner-centered environment that fosters collaboration and real-world application of English language skills.
4. Promote cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, respecting the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of participants.
5. Offer constructive feedback to help learners identify areas for improvement and set actionable language learning goals.
6. Demonstrate punctuality and professionalism in delivering all scheduled online sessions.
7. Work closely with the Sohaara team to ensure high-impact outcomes for program participants.

We’d love to see the following:

1. A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field (a master’s degree is a plus).
2. Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult learners, ideally in a professional or business context.
3. Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories, ESL teaching methodologies, and assessment techniques.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clarity and precision in English.
5. The ability to design and deliver engaging and interactive live sessions tailored to participants’ goals.
6. A deep appreciation for cultural diversity and a talent for fostering inclusive and respectful learning environments.
7. Proficiency with online tools such as Zoom to facilitate seamless instruction and communication.
8. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
9. Adaptability and the ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet learners’ evolving needs.
