Job summary

Berewick Elementary in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an English Learner (EL) Teacher to lead language instruction for identified EL students. This 10-month, full-time position works under moderate supervision to design lessons and monitor student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement EL program of study meeting student needs.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various methods.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain IEP/504 records.
• Serve as EL leader for implementing LIEP across the school.
