Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking an EL Teacher to support English language learners at the assigned site. The role requires a bachelor's degree and Oklahoma certification in the subject area, with EL Certification by April 1 preferred.

This is a 9-month contract position with salary based on experience and degree. The candidate collaborates with classroom teachers, uses WIDA standards, and partners with the EL Instructional Specialist to tailor instruction and services

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with Oklahoma certification in the subject area.
EL Certification by April 1st of the current school year preferred.
Internship or teaching experience with English Language Learners preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge of second language learning patterns and ELD best practices.
Collaborates with teachers to help EL students achieve academically.
Delivers EL services according to district plan using WIDA standards and interventions.
Communicates EL progress and test results to families in a timely manner.
Coordinates with EL staff and instructional specialists to provide services.
Participates in district professional development for EL learners.
