Great Hearts Blossom Rock is seeking an English Language Learner Coordinator to support EL teachers and programs on campus. You will administer AZELLA, train staff, manage EL caseloads, and support data entry for student entry/exit in PowerSchool.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and Arizona teaching certification with SEI or EL endorsement (or equivalent). Experience with EL learners and a commitment to diversity are essential, along with strong technology skills.

Position Title: English Language Learner Coordinator Location: Great Hearts Blossom Rock Reports To: Headmaster EEO Classification: Professional FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried Compensation Type: Salaried

Position Summary: The English Language Learner (EL) Coordinator supports both EL Teachers and EL program on their campus. They will be responsible for administering the AZELLA (including training and preparation), managing caseloads, supporting EL teams and their needs, as well as managing students programming entry and exit data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend meetings with parents, ELT, general education teacher, and PEA for student programming.
• Participate in professional development opportunities at the Phoenix Home Office.
• Collaborate with ELT on student AZELLA results.
• Administer AZELLA (including training and preparation).
• Enter and exit EL students from PowerSchool.
• Maintain the EL Caseload.
• Support HM in maintaining lists of SEI trained teachers.
• Review lesson plans for integrated and targeted to ensure compliance is being met.
• Support campus during audits.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required/Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's degree

Required/Preferred Experience:

• Valid Arizona teaching certification, with SEI or EL Endorsement, or the equivalent SEI or EL training, if not certificated.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of EL experience, 3 years preferred.

Required/Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in the use of technology.
• Great Hearts teachers must also demonstrate a commitment to and love for the liberal arts and a commitment to diversity.
• Previous experience working with English Language Learners.

Physical Functions:

• Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
• May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.

US work authorization is required, but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
