Job summary

Great Hearts Blossom Rock is seeking an English Language Learner (EL) Coordinator to support EL teachers and the EL program on campus. The role involves administering AZELLA, managing student caseloads, and assisting EL teams with entry and exit data, training, and compliance.

The coordinator will collaborate with ELT, attend parent meetings, and participate in professional development opportunities at the Phoenix Home Office, with possible local travel for training and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 1 year EL experience preferred (3 years preferred).
• Proficient with educational technology and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with parents, EL team, and teachers for student programming.
• Administer AZELLA including training and preparation.
• Enter and exit EL students in PowerSchool.
• Maintain EL caseload and assist with audits and compliance.
• Collaborate with ELT on AZELLA results and student testing.

They will be responsible for administering the AZELLA (including training and preparation), managing caseloads, supporting EL teams and their needs, as well as managing students programming entry and exit data.Duties and Responsibilities:Attend meetings with parents, ELT, general education teacher, and PEA for student programming.Participate in professional development opportunities at the Phoenix Home OfficeCollaborate with ELT on student AZELLA resultsAdminister AZELLA (including training and preparation)Enter and exit EL students from PowerSchoolMaintain the EL CaseloadSupport HM in maintaining lists of SEI trained teachersReview lesson plans for integrated and targeted to ensure compliance is being metSupport campus during auditsAdditional duties and projects as assigned.Required/Preferred Education: Bachelor's degreeRequired/Preferred Experience:Valid Arizona teaching certification, with SEI or EL Endorsement, or the equivalent SEI or EL training, if not certificated.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of EL experience, 3 years preferredRequired/Preferred Skills:Proficient in the use of technologyGreat Hearts teachers must also demonstrate a commitment to and love for the liberal arts and a commitment to diversityPrevious experience working with English Language LearnersPhysical Functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
