Alignerr is seeking an English Audio Transcription Specialist (AI Training) for a remote, hourly contract. You will convert spoken English into precise, well-formatted text to help AI systems learn from real speech, including varied accents and nuances.

The role requires excellent listening skills, strong grammar, and a meticulous eye for detail. You will work independently with flexible hours, supporting multiple audio types such as conversations, interviews, and lectures.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English.
• Strong written English with solid grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to work.
• Able to follow structured guidelines and apply them at scale.
• Comfortable with varied accents and audio quality.

Responsibilities

• Listen to English audio and produce precise, verbatim transcriptions.
• Capture natural speech patterns, filler words, and speaker changes when required.
• Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and spelling per guidelines.
• Identify unclear or inaudible segments and flag them for review.
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and completeness.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
