Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Maps Visual Design Relevance Evaluator (US) for remote, freelance work. The role involves assessing map design polish, visual aesthetics, and user-focused elements to improve accuracy and relevance of location-based recommendations.

You will participate in multiple project rounds and adhere to project instructions, with a flexible weekly cadence. The contract is freelance with an hourly rate of US$20.30, and remote work is supported from the United States.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and overall polish of digital map designs.
• Assess user-focused elements like viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance.
• Review personalized location recommendations to ensure relevance and helpfulness.
• Follow strict project instructions and complete tasks accurately, including tagging specific issues (e.g., Icons not properly masked, Labels too small).

Requirements

• To be located and have the right to work in the United States.
• An existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.
• Participation is limited to maximum three project rounds. Please note that the task request will be dynamic and we will be providing you with a heads‑up as soon as possible once there is a project round available for you.

• Start date: The project runs on a weekly basis. Eligible candidates will be added to a pool of certified raters and contacted at least 48 hours before kickoff.
