Job summary

Olympic College is seeking English Adjunct Faculty to teach composition and related English courses at its Bremerton Campus. The role emphasizes student-centered learning, closing achievement gaps, and data-informed instruction.

Adjuncts teach mostly in-person and may cover day/evening schedules, with potential PSNS program involvement. Open to part-time, quarterly appointments; salary is paid per credit hour, with the college maintaining a pool for future vacancies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English from an accredited college or university.
• College teaching experience.
• Must be available to teach during the day and in person.

Responsibilities

• Teach primarily English composition course(s) in accordance with the college catalog and course outlines.
• Teach day and evening classes in person; some locations may be on branch campuses.
• Teach in-person and/or hybrid composition courses.
• Provide syllabi and materials to students by the first day of quarter.
• Contribute to English assessment efforts and respond to students' queries in a timely fashion.
• Identify learning needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Communicate with students, faculty, staff, and administrators punctually.
