Job summary

National Oilwell Varco in Houston is seeking an entry-level tester eager to learn in a dynamic testing environment. You will learn safe operation of our test equipment and follow HSE procedures to keep everyone safe.

You will monitor maintenance, perform daily inspections, participate in engineering meetings, and help keep the test areas clean and organized. A proactive, self-starting attitude and a passion for safety are essential, as many tests may be new and require creativity to achieve

Qualifications

• Attitude, aptitude to learn, willingness to learn, and passion for safety.
• Self-starter with ability to adapt to changing testing environments.
• Experience in a shop environment, heavy equipment operation, data acquisition or maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

Formal higher education is not required.Experience in a shop environment, heavy equipment operation, downhole tool function testing, data acquisition and maintenance knowledge is a plus.The most important requirements are attitude, an aptitude to learn to safely operate the equipment, a willingness to learn, a desire to continuously improve and a passion for safety.Being a self-starter is a must, as well as an ability to keep a positive attitude in an ever-changing testing environment.
