Job summary

Northeastern Technical College (NETC) seeks an Academic Program Director for its Engineering Technology Program. The role includes instruction, curriculum design, fiscal management, and student advising, with responsibilities across engineering-related disciplines.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field and at least two years of engineering experience; a master’s degree and PE license are preferred. Local travel and supervision duties apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field with minimum 2 years in engineering-related occupation.
• Master's degree in engineering technology or related field preferred; PE license and teaching experience at a community/technical college are pluses.
• Ability to learn and apply effective teaching concepts and adhere to college policies.

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom and lab courses in electrical, mechanical, civil, advanced manufacturing, mechatronics, or related fields.
• Assist Dean with curriculum development, program content, and personnel issues.
• Assist with budget, property, and inventory; forecast personnel and equipment needs.
• Develop and revise courses, syllabi, lesson plans, and curriculum; manage classroom activities.
• Advise students and assist in their personal and professional development.
• Participate in professional development and college activities, recruitment, and events.
• Attend meetings and conferences as scheduled; work with faculty, students, and external partners.
