Job summary

Port of Seattle is seeking an Engineering Technology Intern in the Engineering Design Services Department for a part-time, five-month assignment. You’ll gain hands-on BIM, CAD, and automation experience with an assigned mentor on live capital and tenant projects at one of the West Coast’s largest ports.

Responsibilities include developing parametric tools, documenting workflows, and expanding Dynamo/Python automation while maintaining CAD standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergrad or certificate program or recent grad (<1 year).
• Interest in BIM, CAD drafting, standards and best practices.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit or similar Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering Technology Team to identify automation opportunities and test solutions.
• Document workflows and create SOPs; assist training stakeholders.
• Create and optimize workflows using APIs and Dynamo scripting to automate tasks.
