Depatie Fluid Power is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our engineering team in Portage, MI. This internship offers hands-on experience across product development, mechanical design, and manufacturing support in a collaborative environment.

You will create SolidWorks models, assist with drawings, and help document engineering processes while learning from seasoned professionals on real customer projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree program.
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable learning new technology and engineering tools.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical product development from concept through production.
• Interact with customers to understand application requirements.
• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
• Produce engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support manufacturing by designing assembly fixtures and test fixtures.
• Develop standard work instructions and manufacturing processes.
